Dandruff can be treated in many ways.

Shampoo - Use shampoo regularly to prevent flakes from building up. Special shampoos such as head and shoulders or selson blue are made especially for this condition. Both contain selenium, a chemical used to battle the fungous that causes dandruff. Use this about 3-4 times during per week and use a shampoo that has tea tree oil the rest of the time.

Try not to over use styling products, build up can cause more of a problem and irritate sensitive skin

Try a natural approach like lavender oil. It can sooth the scalp. Add a 3 drops of lavender, tea tree and pepermint oil to 8 oz (1 cup) of grape seed oil and warm the oil ( try about 1 min in the microwave). Waite until the oil cools to body temperature and head to your shower.( Do not turn on the water)Lean your head back and pour the warm oil over your scalp slowly, massaging your scalp as you pour. After you have pour the oil over your head, you can massage the rest into your body. Turn on the water and shampoo one or two times and use soap to remove extra oil off your body. Condition as usual. Try this once every week or two. The shower may become slippery from the oil so be careful.

I did a little research about dandruff and I found a ton of information. My first pick and I have seen it in the stores and have read about it would be Neutrigena T/Gel Theraputic Hair Care. They have products to assist in solving the following problems and they are not outrageously priced either.

1) Mild to moderate dandruff
2) Severa Dandruff
3) Seborrhec Dermatitis
4) Itchy, dry scalp

I found another site that I thought was pretty convincing since it was all Natural Ingredients, made with Raw Organic Vegtables. The name of the company is Ayur Imports, Their product is a little different , it is an oil that you massage into your scalp. Your hair has to be dry and you apply the oil and you scalp and let it sit before rinsing.
Rinse and wash your hair with their Dandreena Anti-Dandruff, some of the ingredients include Aelmarmelos, Aloe Vera. Clinically Tested

Home remedies that I came across
Mix equal amounts of anti-dandruff nonmedicated shampoo and distilled water for controlling oil
Massage your scalp instead of scratching it, it could cause sores
Tar based shampoo's for extra dry scalp they now come in new formulas for better scents
switch back and forth from your shampoo to tar based
After applying Anti-dandruff shampoo cover your head with a shower cap and let sit for 1 hour
P&S Liquid apply at bedtime cover your head with a shower cap and rinse in the morning
Fianlly ... Sunshine is great for oily scalps !!
