Well, frankly, it's something that sociologists have studied, and what the consensus was is that it was better to be rich and homely than to be poor and beautiful... at least if you were a guy, because evidently females look at a male's ability to provide as a fundamental attribute the way males will size up a woman's child-bearing hips.

Personally I would take homely & rich.

Being attractive is only worth so much if you have a hard time putting food on the table.

Evaluation: unattractive and rich

Pros.
Access to better health care.
Better accomodations/living conditions.
More vacations
Better entertainment.
Earlier retirement.

Cons.
Ugly.

This is really a no-brainer IMHO. ^_^

I'd choose to take the money...

It would open up so many more choices and opportunities than just good looks.....

Thats not to say that Good looks wouldn't give you some options, but beauty is only skin deep and its going to take a lot of hard work, or even more luck to make the most of them. Sure it would be nice to turn into a famous actor, but you're going to need to develop those acting skills to compliment the looks

I'd rather be born rich and unattractive. Plastic surgery can work wonders! (Not that I'd get plastic surgery in real life, but since we're operating in hypotheticals, let's go for it.)

Seriously, though, poverty sets one up for so many disadvantages in life -- access to education, health care, job opportunities, socialization, there are far too many to list -- that beauty wouldn't do much of anything.

I'd rather be born rich and unattractive, and still be happy though I'm the ugliest thing on the planet. With the money I have, I could reach out to people... I could build a home for old people whom was left behind by their family. I could build a orphanage to help out kids who no longer have parents and are alone. I could build an animal shelter in our city so that stray pets and those who are unwanted by their previous owners could have a place they call home.

I've always wanted to reach out and do things for those people in need. I'm not rich right now, and if time comes that I will, I'll do all those things!

If ever in my ugly life, no one seem to love me with my face, I know many people will love me because of my kindness and hidden beauty. That's what matters the most. ^^

I would choose to be born rich but not-so-physically attractive. I think real beauty comes from within. I want to be rich so that I can help others. Support charities and orphanages, give scholarships to those who cannot afford education. Support research to cure cancer, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis and other debilitating diseases.

I may not be beautiful physically but I am much happier and that is more important to me.For physical beauty fades in time but inner beauty is something that glows from within, radiates into your whole being and make you look and feel beautiful.
