I would have to go with the tube top from the 70's.
The only reason it should ever rear its ugly head again is for historical purposes in film, period!

• Agreed. Not so much because I don't like how it looks on others, always looked like crap on me. ;)
Thanks for the answer!

Real short shorts!!!
Although I know that many young girls can wear these, to me they seem to show off more than a "young lady" should show!
I'd much rather see a demure nicely dressed girl than one who looks slovenly in short shorts.

I simply cannot stand the butt crack view on the pants kids wear, hugging the middle of their behinds! More than once, I have seen these pants fall right off the kid! I have the irresistable urge to pull their pants up! It drives me nuts!

*nods* That is very true. I sometimes get soo annoyed I want to tell them to pull the pants up only to remember that I'm not their teachers and I can't do that!

I think this trend may have lost its luster already, but I couldn't get used to the giant shoulder bows and flowers that some celebrities wore just a short time ago. The picture below is of Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City movie.

Any gauging, or do you have a size limit, since *technically*, regular earrings are considered gauges as well... they're 18g or 20g but you can get even smaller ones - 22g.
Just wondering, as I have my ears gauged to 5mm (4g) so I'm interested in your opinion. They're usually completely reversible up to about 10mm as long as you do them correctly, so the age thing isn't really a factor and they do close up - however, I too agree that anything bigger than about 10mm is disgusting. I hate when people have like a 20mm disk in their ear with just a tiny bit of skin holding it in. I've talked to several piercer friends and it's irreversible and often looks silly after surgery so the reversal is to simply cut off the lobe at the top of the hole. Cute and Reversible icky and irreversible

I wish one side bangs would never go... I have huge forehead that's why I have to cover them a bit. I can't wear full bangs, it doesn't look good on me that's why I opt for just the one side bangs.
and oh, the flats too! I love wearing flat shoes! So comfortable plus they usually have cute styles!
One trend I wish would never want to come back is the big hair style... Maybe because it doesn't suit everyone...

Extreme piercings. I have one piercing in one ear (left is right, right is wrong, who knows?), so I am not a teetotaler, but there is such a thing as moderation and there is also a time when putting your obsessive compulsive piercing behavior on exhibit for the entire world to cringe at is just poor taste.
There are potential dangers to consider with various types of piercings, but for right now let's focus on piercing as a fashion disaster not a health risk.
You want to go to prom with the person in the picture? How about having him stand up in your wedding and be part of the permanent record in your wedding photos.

Ewww you can see where some of them have been ripped out of his face! (bridge, right cheek)... either that or they're seriously rejecting, or he's allergic to the metal. What are those little drop shaped tags he's got randomly... i thought those were fishing lures at first.... Think he takes them out at night to sleep?

I'm submitting a few different looks that are symbolic of the 1980s and wreak of tackiness, and are now sadly very "in"right now. All at once. Grrraawwwwwwwwwww!!!
So.
Ugly.
So.
Tacky.
Why can't you teens see that?
Just look in a mirror.
I'll wait.
Does that really look pretty and stylish to you?
Do you see that what's in kind of looks like "cheap hooker" clothes from the 90s?
Burn it all right away.
1.) Boots worn OVER skinny pants. Hell, just any boots worn over the pants. Yikes.

(socks are just as bad as boots!)
http://stylebytes.net/wp-content/uploads/2006/08/0144.jpg
2.) Giant fur collars on coats. You know, not too long ago these coats were called "hooker coats". Why they're "in" right now is beyond me!!
http://shinynylon.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/614.jpg
3.) Leggings. Need I say more?
http://images3.chictopia.com/photos/CoedUgly/8722161925/8722161925_400.jpg
4.) The Peggy Bundy look. Belt around the waist, accompanied by leggings. It's in right now. I've seen Tyra Banks wearing this look.

5.) Giant sunglasses.

The fashion trend that I wish would go away is leg warmers, they were bad in the 80s and still bad now!!
http://barefootrooster.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/fo-leg-warmers.jpg

I have to agree with cherise! I also hate pants 5 sizes too big hanging down below the butt.... it's dreadful!

I would have to say low rise jeans on people over a sz 2.
Some people (you know who you are) should NOT wear low rise jeans. This causes the dreaded"muffin top".There is nothing worse than walking down the street or at the mall and seeing someone with low rise jeans and a belly shirt that should not be wearing them. I am not a skinny person and very self concious so I am very aware of how I look in my clothing. Some people need mirrors in their homes.
