It might depend on how flattering the picture is and who owns the copyrights. Regardless though, if the person that submitted the picture did not own the copyrights to the pictures, then I would probably sue to have a share of the profit. People who have their pictures taken for professional publication get paid by the photographer. Unless there is some kind of release signed, then I would think using the image would be illegal. That's my few being from the U.S. I don't know how other countries work, nor am I entirely sure of how photographic copyright laws work.

If those pictures were pleasant then I would be happy to have a copy or take a look at it but then I'd be curious of who owns it or if they have my consent. If not then I'd talk to their editorial staff or the owner of the site. I am sure they know the rules on publishing photos and other materials.

If they're degrading then maybe I should seek some legal help.
