Shaving off a beard is pretty dramatic in its effect on how you look.
Not that it was ever part of a makeover that I've gotten from someone else, just something I decided to do.
The strange thing is that even though you look very different, people that know you really well often don't realise what's changed. They feel there is something different but they can't put their finger on it!
I have actually had a session with an image consultant, but they don't make you over on the spot. More leave you with a lot of detailed ideas about what to buy and not buy in future. And maybe there'll be some items that you have that you'll just stop wearing cos they don't work on you at all.
Possibly the single most dramatic "makeover" I had was when I went from working in academia to working in a corporation. From scruffy jeans and trainers to sharp suits and ties in a short space of time! Well, my mother liked that change a lot! :)

I just did my most dramatic make overever LOL. I had long, curly hair to my butt. I went to the salon and asked for about 4 - 5 inches to be cut off and the ends be layered. I wanted color and highlights put in. Well needless to say she "CUT" 18 inches off, colored and highlighted it. I was in shock when I looked down at the floor, but it looks and manages so much better now. It took a few days before I said I really liked it. lol
Looks like my hair before (mine is brunette)

My hair looks like this now (about the same length, but when she cut it all my natural curl bounced right back in)

I had that happen once when I asked for a trim. I sued them. They cut 14 inches off of my hair when I asked for no more than 2.

I knew the girl that did mine, she is a cousin by marriage, I trusted her and I love what she did, but it I hadn't of loved it and didn't know her I probably would have done the same. Was your done in a salon? and thats who you sued?
