ha ha I so rarely wear make up but this I can answer :)

I had a really nice lipstick with a broken top. I couldn't throw it away because I loved it and didn't know what brand it was ( the sticker on the bottom had worn off )...and they do all look the same to me....

Anyway, at a wedding reception, went to 'powder my nose' put lippy on and then tied back my hair again ( sort of in a bun thingy ). Yep, you guessed it, a bit of lippy had stuck to my fingers when I put the top back on, it went into my hair and from the back there was a big pink/red streak up my neck, disappearing under a fluff of hair :(

I guess most people didn't notice but my friend did about an hour or so later ...... oh well, these things happen :)

I rarely wear makeup, either. I had a great long lipstick that stained my lips, rather than making them gooey. I loved it. But, the top came off in my purse and lipstick got all over everything in their. The worst was the lipstick in the zipper of my wallet. I never did get it out of that. Blech!
