You are right @stanar I was suffering from a caffeine under-dose when I answered this morning. At 4:30am PST the time on the east coast (EST) will be 7:30am. My apologies.

I was so disappointed with this. I didn't see a thing on NASA tv, but only some red spot in the IR imagery.

I even set up my telescope getting up early in the morning!

Me too! I was up at 5 excited like a kid on Christmas.
I saw nothing as I live in the woods with very little view of the sky.
NASA TV was a disappointment as well.

I watched on NASA TV via satellite. Couldn't access the Live Streaming on NASA site.

But that didn't help either except the IR imagery.

Oh....I don't wanna miss that but may be it will broadcast at mid night of my local time.

But no worry....I will keep ready my oRipa(streaming video capturing software) when I need to go bed. Because I must view that ....I had knew it before you asked this question.

Many are debating about it, that is "violation of space law" but I don't support them. Because "law" is a matter which is created by human to help human. But if sometimes it is necessary to break law to take human ahead it is applicable. So I think in this issue it is not so necessary to look at law.

It is not a bill of parliament or a political issue so don't make any debate about it and we know that every thing has a light side and a dark side. I will not say more because it will going some different from main topic.

Thanks

Hello,

Yes we will be watching it. I watched the first televised walk on the moon when I was a child. My father said I was watching a piece of history and felt it was important. I also feel that it is important for my children and grandchildren to see this event. It made a huge impact on me in understanding there is a world outside of this world.

NASA is saying that the bombing is being done to determine if there is water on the moon. I am not sure that this is really the reason as it has already been determined that there is water. People have always had an enate desire to explore new areas and try to understand them. I think that this is more the case in this bombing. With the world having problems with ecosystems, loss of resources we may be looking at exploring new resources.

As for other life on the moon. There may or may not be. We can only hope that it has been explored enough to know we are not disrupting others lives.

This is a great question.

Thank you,

Yes. Hopefully in Miami it will be dark enough to see it happen, but I'll record it on NASA TV.

No way. This is not real. It is a conspiracy to put the citizens of the world into a state of panic! Just listen to the video. It is a poor fake. If you listen carefully, you can hear laughter in the background. Also, you can see that some of these photos were actually taken in the desert (here on earth). And we all know that all monkeys are born with the ability to use sign language. Never has there been a proven case where one has not had this ability.

We need to take action now!

I wouldn't miss it for the world! (Get it? World?....ahhhh.)

No really, this is an amazing event and the geek in me is just trembling in anticipation. Anyone who's still a kid at heart will be watching, even if it means I'm up until the wee-wee hours of the morning for it!

I can not wait to see this. I saw them land in the 60's when I was a little girl. I can not think of a better thing to see than them blast the moon looking for water.

I remember sitting on my mother's lap as she cried for joy :) I remember wondering why she was still in her nightie in the middle of the afternoon .... and I remember sitting in the living room watching it all and I will never ever forget!

Absolutely!

I love NASA TV and I think they do an awesome job with these events - you always learn heaps from the commentary and the animations they usually show are great, lots of detail.

I have to calculate the time zone, I think its going to be a late night tonight :) lucky its Friday night so I can sit back and watch right here ( and still take a peak at Mahalo and CL )
