if you were someone who served or sold alcohol and/or tobacco would you refuse or grant service to a pregnant woman if laws were irrelevant?

I would not refuse service. Maybe she wasn't buying it for herself. She could have been buying it for her husband or a friend. Or maybe she's throwing a party and the alcohol was for the guest. Unless I knew it was definitely for her I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Who am I to assume she is buying them for herself? She may be buying them for her husband, boyfriend, sister, neighbor, father etc. Of course I would sell them to her. I have been at bars (many years ago) or restaurants and was the designated driver...didn't order booze for myself. That didn't prevent me from going up to the bar and ordering for others.
