Age 8 - when I was made a latch-key kid.
No? How about age 14, when I had to get a part time job because there wasn't a provider in the home and if I needed something I had to work to get it because no one else was providing things like food or clothing...

"Young" is relative. I'm in that "in-between" phase where I might still be a "kid" but I'm trying to fit into the "adult" world. I offer up this XKCD comic to show you the confusion that I go through every day: http://xkcd.com/616/

Age is nothing but a number as the saying goes ...
I, at this point in my life, with the experiences I have been THROWN ... believe THAT E.X.P.E.R.I,E,N,C,E,S, make you old, or in most peoples' cases .... young and immature.
I, at nearly 25, have lost my husband to suicide. Therefore, mentally and emotionally, I feel a million billion years old (if there is such a WAY to describe THAT ...) and probably LOOK it at some moments in the day,.. I haven't even had three months to live with his passing, and it feels like three hundred years. I have lost interest in all that we enjoyed together, because he isn't here to laugh and joke with me, but I STILL do them, such as continue our computer business, because of a way to honor him.
I turn 25 in Feb. and I can only pray I see the 12th.

You're as young as you feel they say so, I feel very young at heart. Spiritually, I always have and I expect I always will. Mentally, I considered myself to not be young in my 30s when I was going through my divorce. Physically, I started feeling not young in my 40s when arthritis took over my joints. So, I think there is no set age when you are not young anymore.

Sachel Paige, an old baseball player once said "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?" On 11/30 I'll be 59. I don't feel old, but to a 20 year old I'm ancient. To a centenarian I'm a kid. I think that today age means less than it ever has. However, I start to feel old when the names in the obituary page are much younger than me .I hope that continues.
