In someways they are both strict and also not strict , but i feel it should be more strict Why?
- lets say there are no copyright laws , then there will be almost nothing that will be copyrightable
- In my country after the advent of technology profit by music came down by over 80% i.e 80% loss
why would artists who have practised all their life put enormous effort do it for free, its not fair
see we pay lot of money for clothing , food, gadget and these are manufactured by machines and also little human effort but no one expects them free, but imagine how difficult it is to create music, write books, develop software , research etc. See if there's no income even the most passionate scientist, musician, would need to focus on doing something that does generate money , like a simple job etc . And that is a LOSS to mankind. I think we should always give what someone deserves

Before considering the income of other companies and artists, my first reaction is that the United States' copyright laws are too strict. I believe the internet is leading the nation to be more of a sharing nation, and that music and videos and other copyrighted materials will be shared whether the government dictates it illegal or not. However, this is merely from a consumer point of view, and I'm sure if I analyzed the situation from a more economic standpoint, I'm sure imposing a more strict law on copyright and how to regulate it, not only would that stimulate the economy with more media purchases, but it would help the music and movie industry (however, I'm not sure they really need much help, with concert and theater tickets already generating much of their profit).

I believe that the copyright laws in my country are too loose because you can get bootleg copies of the latest international movies and music albums at almost any corner of the streets these days. They try to enforce the copyright laws for local artist, but what about the international stuff, isn’t that person being cheated of their income also. I say if the laws are good for one they are good for all.
