I wish that I could say that I always do. But I know there are times where I do not. It is easy to say what is right, but much harder to do what is right. I think your question is a positive reminder to all of us that we need to make a more concerted effort to stand up for our beliefs and do what we know is right. For example, we teach our children to be polite and consider others feelings. But how often do we find ourselves, not holding the door for others, saying thank you, or just simply being pleasant to those around us. We get so caught up in our own stresses and agendas that we bypass those tiny pleasantries. Thanks for your question, I hope it helps others quickly reexamine their own actions as I have.

In my life I try to but I'm sure there were times when I did not. Some of my basic values like treating other people kindly, speaking well of others, and respecting others are very important to me. There are factors that makes these challenging like for instance when I'm tired or hungry I tend to be grumpy. So, for the most part I try to but we are all human and therefore not perfect.

I learned from my mother who always said "Do as I say... and not as I do".
