Do you prefer contacts or glasses?

I just got contacts for the first time. I am having a hard time with them. I am not sure if this is how hard it will stay or if things will get easier. I will give them a chance, but for now I am liking my glasses better. Thoughts?

I've just lately begun to wear those cheap reading glasses otherwise I can't see the small netbook screen I've got and I also can't read the small print on food labels anymore without those glasses.

I think it is too early for me to think about contact lenses, but I really think I'm not patient enough for using lenses. My friend on the other hand has very bad eyesight and she wears glasses normally now because she can't afford the insurance for her contact lenses in case she loses one. This seems very important to her. My friend also says that one needs patience in the beginning and always really. One just can't rush putting lenses in or taking them out.

I wear contacts every day. I started out with hard contacts and now I have soft. They are much easier on the eye. Contacts take some getting used to. They will get more comfortable in just a few days. The one thing I noticed is that colored contacts can be irritating. I have always found that colored contacts move around too much. If you have colored contacts, consider switching to clear, regular ones.

I love my glasses at night time. I watch TV with my glasses on. When in public I prefer the contacts. I have bad eye sight and see much better with contacts in.

Give it some time and then reevaluate. Right now, you need some time to adjust to something new and something being in your eye.

I've worn glasses for about 30 years and am legally blind without them. When I was in high school, I went to contacts for the most part. I wore them for about 10 years and ruined my eyes. Now, I can only wear contacts on very special occasions, and for no longer than 6 or 7 hours. If I wear contacts two days in a row, my eyes get infected, even if I wear two different pairs of disposables. So, I'll have to stand by my glasses.

I can remember when I first started wearing them, it took some getting used to. However, no matter what any doctor or contact lenses company says, you should NEVER sleep in or wear contacts for more than 8 hours. Your eyes need air. I hate to see anyone make the mistake I did with them.

I prefer contact lenses by far. I understand that you're having a hard time with them, but it'll definitely get easier. I don't know if I had an extremely hard time with them in the beginning, but they still took some getting used to.

I love contacts and I think they're well worth it. At the end if the day, you're going to find out for yourself over time if you think they are worth it or not. Also, for what it's worth, disposable contact lenses are great! They cost more money (I'm told), but it's nice to always have clean lenses that don't cause infections. I like disposable lenses for traveling too, because you don't need to pack solution and other items - you just dump a bunch of lens packages into your suitcase and go!
