Do you think being wise is different than being intelligent?

I consider myself wise in some ways but I don't really consider myself an intelligent person. Is there a difference?

I believe that being wise comes from experiences and being open to all that you can learn from sources outside of school and books. You can be wise and not necessarily intelligent in my opinion.

They are different. You can be wise and never have gone to school, and you can earn a PhD and never say anything profound. It's a "book smarts vs. street smarts" type situation.
