Answered Conundrum Next Conundrum
Do you think U.S. District Judge, Susan Bolton’s, ruling will kill Arizona’s immigration law?
After months of battles, boycotts and threats of lawsuits Arizona’s controversial immigration law is scheduled to go into effect on Thursday.
Only now, according to The Associated Press, it’s not going to, at least not all of it. A ruling by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton on Wednesday effectively put most of SB 1070 on hold and set up what promises to be a long court battle. Federal judge Bolton’s ruling blocked the enforcement of the law’s most criticized provisions, including ones that required police officers to check a person’s immigration status while enforcing other laws, required immigrants to carry their papers at all times and prohibited undocumented workers from soliciting employment in public places. The ruling will also put on hold a provision that paved the way for officers to make warrantless arrests of suspected illegal immigrants.

I think this ruling probably will kill Arizona's immigration bill. Some of it sounds unconstitutional, such as the searches and seizures. I didn't know it was that hard core. That is wrong and it is too bad it ruined the rest of the bill, the part that just enforces U.S. immigration laws. If these don't get enforced the U.S. will change beyond recognition in the next 20 years.
This is too bad though. We were thinking about moving to Arizona once this went through. A bunch of people are leaving the state in protest of this bill. We though maybe in Arizona American citizens would be able to get jobs once this went into effect. Our ancestors built this country. I'm sure they intended for us to live here and work here, not for foreigners to come in and take over by just being here and having lots of kids.
Every other country in the world enforces its immigration laws. I do not believe the U.S. should be any different. It makes me angry that our President and congress refuse to enforce our immigration laws. They are basically letting foreigners steal our nation. But I can't say that in public or I get called a racist. The battle is lost already. It is just a matter of time.

If America still upholds the constitution, I predict that Arizona's SB1070 law will pass in the Supreme Court. Whether its the criminal alien or the hardworking alien looking for a better life, it still comes down to the fact that they have broken the law. Hope of amnesty only keeps the flood coming and discriminates against those that are coming into this country legally. It's unfortunate that children brought here illegally are caught up in this mess, but imagine if someone robbed a bank and afterwards lived respectfully, raised a family on that wealth, then that person was finally caught. Would it be right to let that family to continue living on the wealth? For example: Bernie Madoff.

I don't think so. Maybe this Judge has something good to offer to the public.
