Do you try to eat healthy and exercise?
I have been making big changes in my life. I am a bit older and worried about my health. I realized you rarely see overweight older people. Being overweight causes other health problems. I exercise every day and have been watching what I eat. I have just begun my journey, but I am atleast on my way.

Yes, you are on the way and that is best of all! So many people are still not on the way, so do take it step by step, do your exercises and eat fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds. And every so often a bit of meat, egg and fish. That will give you a good start, especially if you leave out of ready made meals, junk and fun food, cakes etc.
Sounds terrible? - Not to me. I live a very healthy lifestyle and I'm healthy at the age of 56. So it's worth it, I say.
I think it is a great decision that you want to live a healthy lifestyle and be healthy in your old age. It is possible, my father got to 100 years old in good health and he's been through the war and the bad times afterwards. Yet, he always ate small quantities and fresh, healthy meals that my mother cooked, although they both could have afforded to buy more. And my brother and I were brought up like that, so it probably wasn't too difficult for us to "carry on", but I will admit that I often failed on the exercise in fresh air. Just recently I've taken to make firewood and I really like it. It's not too hard to do, just a little bit hard and so that's ok.
Positive thinking, fresh food and exercise on fresh air will give you a healthy life as well!

We do try to eat healthy. I watch what types of snacks I buy and what types of drinks I get. I try to cook from scratch and lean towards chicken and fish. I stay away from frying when possible and try to bake things.
For my kids I try to buy things that may lead to more exercise. I bought them a trampoline and a big pool in the backyard. Rather than spending their summer inside and behind a computer or Xbox game, they would rather go outside and be active. Funny how as parents, need to be so clever.
I really have not had time to exercise, but during the warm months I love to walk. I walk the dogs and go out on walks with friends or family. I also love to run around with the kids and play soccer or kickball.
For the most part I do believe we lead a healthy lifestyle.
