There have been some years when Tingle, the Christmas Tension visits my house.
When I'm away from close family and don't have nieces and nephews to dote on... it's not as much fun. Right now I'm planing and packing for a move at the end of January, so no tree this year.
Please watch this video to make sure you know all the ways to keep tension from ruining your Holidays.
Merry Christmas!

I have struggled with this on occasion and I am very fortunate that it always shows up. sometimes just in the Nick of time, but it appears. I watch Christmas movies and listen to christmas songs on Pandora and finally it comes to me. And it is a wonderful feeling when it arrives.

I don't have any Christmas spirit. I don't want any. I certainly am not trying to find any. This answer may or may not be helpful, depending upon what you meant to ask. It hopefully at least provides a different perspective.

I think there are different levels of Christmas Spirit and different ways to express it. Your family lifestyle (from childhood to adult hood) helps to mold how you view Christmas too I believe. If you grow up in a family where traditions are passed down from generation to generation that may help to instill some of the anticipated "magic" of the season. However if you grow up in a family where Christmas budgets (or the lack of) become the focus, or where there is much turmoil, arguing, and bitterness then the spirit of Christmas may be harder to find. But, let me put aside my counseling ... lol
For me it helps to read the story of the Birth of Christ and to watch children who seem always to beam with joy at this time of year. Being alone is often very hard for many people this time of year, if that's your situation then perhaps find a charitable group to join to help others even less fortunate than yourself. Sometimes doing "good" for others make a person feel better ( I know it does me.) Try visiting a church service (whether you've ever been before or not). Go caroling with a group. Make a batch of cookies or candy and give it to a needy person on the street.
I hope you find your Christmas Spirit!

I don't usually have any Christmas spirit. I won't begin to tell you the reasons Christmas creates stress and worry for me because I've heard that it's pretty common for lots of people to feel the same way.
I have to get into Christmas though, I have a 6 year old daughter that I think deserves to have all the fun she can for Christmas. Because of her and with her I force myself into the holiday happiness. We watch Christmas cartoons, talk about Santa, decorate the tree, sing Christmas songs, drive around at night and look at lights.
Before you know it, I've found my Christmas spirit. It's for the kids I think so it helps to focus on that.
