Since turning 30, I've kept the same look. I don't really care anymore if I'm "in style" or not. I wear what I like. As I age, the less I care what people think. If someone is judging me base on my looks, that's their problem. I dress comfortable for work and causal to dressy for going out. I pretty much stick with pjs, yoga wear, jeans, skirts, t-shirts and blouses. Dress pants look horrible on me. I have a very short waist.
I rarely wear makeup and I've had the same hair cut for 10 years now. I know it seems bad, but I know it's what looks best on me. I've even learned how to cut my own hair. It's short, simple and easy to fix. Because I cut my own hair and it is so short, I bet I only spend about 20 dollars a year on my hair for shampoo and stuff.
I'm definitely not high maintenance, I'm a low maintenance gal.

I am one of those people that get stuck in a rut. When I find a look or style that works, I suppose I figure why change something that is not broke. I know I look good this way, but I rarely think how what may have looked good ten years ago, no longer looks good.
I suppose I dread change. I do not like shopping for clothes or trying new hairstyles. More often than not the new style does not make me feel good and the hairstyle looks bad on me.
I should probably be more open to change. I do not want to be one of those people stuck in a time machine. Although I am not quite that bad, I definitely get stuck and stay with older trends.

So far I changed my look 3 times. As a teenager I dressed in Teenager look and as an adult I changed to basically "office" look. Then we moved to the mountains and I changed to mountain look.
Oh, I forgot, I also got the witch's look which I do when working on medieval markets.
Generally I'm not fashion conscious and I don't like make-up, but I will always have good, comfortable, modern, new shoes as I think that is what people judge most consciously or unconsciously.
For the office I would put on a very light make-up and as a witch a black/dark purple one which looks good, so I'm told. Other than that I don't bother with make-up.
I was never one for dolling myself up for parties, I just don't like to give this party girl impression because I'm not.
I've always kept my fingernails short and unvarnished as I'm playing various instruments and long fingernails also get in the way when I'm typing (I know millions of girls will disagree here!).
Very occasionally I will buy myself a new summer outfit new or second hand as the Spanish summer fashion is just so nice and practical.
