If something happened and you dropped out of sight would anyone online miss you?
Like here or Mahalo for instance would anyone be concerned or would they just assume you had moved on?

I'm active daily in chatrooms on deviantART (an art site), and I know they'd notice. But sometimes I'll get busy and vanish without telling them, and they don't go out of their way to find out what happened to me. That's just how it is online.
If I do vanish, it's people I know in person that will notice first. (Like, people at my job for one. My mother for another. Definitely my roommate, haha.)

I write for a couple online clients that would probably wonder where the work is. But as far as Facebook or Twitter or any other social media, no one would notice. I don't post regularly and can disappear for weeks at a time. I actually had computer problems but still managed to get on to take care of my assignments. And no, no one noticed I was gone.
I saw an announcement somewhere that someone had passed away that writes for another site and I wondered how often that happens and no one really notices, we all just figure they quit or moved or whatever.
