If you were going to be executed, what method of execution would you select?

If they would let me stand up, I would choose to be shot. Given the option, I would not want to die sitting or lying down, and while lethal injection is usually painless, there are some indications that people have been paralyzed and then died painfully but unwilling to scream out (the second and third drugs collapse your diaphragm and then stop your heart). Prisoners are also strapped down for the execution.
I think if it were actually me, I would be a little insulted by how sterile they try to make the execution. If someone wanted to kill me, I would make them see blood.
Of course, that's not an option in my state, and I believe they often tie the prisoner to a chair before they get shot, but it still forces the witnesses to understand the brutality.

I'd definitely choose lethal injection. None of the execution options are tantalizing, but lethal injection seems the least dreadful. At least you get to get to be in a comatose state when they kill you vs. fully aware of what's going on..

I would prefer lethal injection. It appears to be painless and works very quickly, and therefore I wouldn't have the pain of being electrocuted or being shot/hung. Additionally, I would be virtually certain that it would work,and wouldn't have to endure the possibility of waiting to redo it. I think the anticipation would be part of the torture.
