Because capitalism does not have a single creator, you cannot really examine the intent of the author. Therefore, in a way, what it's intended for doesn't really matter. However, I think it will work in the long term as an economic and social system. It obviously has problems just like any other system, but I think it had a reasonable number of checks and balances to keep it working. My biggest gripe with it is that the checks and balances are often too slow to react, so you get large swings in finance and other areas without much equilibrium.

Were the creators of capitalism irresponsible by doing so?
Has capitalism succeeded so far and was the plan for it to succeed in the long run? Was the plan to have an end to capitalism or was it to go on as long as the other world economies afforded to support it?

Capitalism creates wealth. It does not steal wealth from "other world economies", as you put it in your comment, buddawiggi2.

I sincerely appreciate your answer but to infer from my statement of "was it to go on as long as the other world economies afforded to support it?" that I meat capitalism "stole from other economies" is incorrect. I might have been more clear if I said capitalism need other economies and as long as they were able to afford our goods and services capitalism can survive.
In the future you can simply dispute a comment or ask for a clarification of a comment with another comment there is no need to answer a question with a non answer "capitalism creates wealth" in no way tries to answer the question and touches on neither of the two areas asked within the question.
