This question is right up my alley. My mom is an astrologer, so I grew up around astrology. Astrology is very complicated and complex, but most people don't know this. There is a lot more to astrology than your horoscope. In fact, I don't even read horoscopes. Horoscopes are silly and hardly ever correct because they only take into account a person's sun sign. Well, that's about 1% of the data a person can get from their astrological chart. An individual's astrological chart is as individualized to that person as a thumbprint. First, you have your sun sign (which is what horoscopes go off of), then you have your rising sign, and moon sign. You have a sign for every planet. Then you have the twelve houses and the placement of each planet and the sun in those twelve houses. Then you have squares and nodes, retrogrades. You have your Saturn return, which is what everybody goes through around age 30 and again around age 60, which is a time of reflection and transition. There are so many different aspects to a person's birth chart alone. Your birth chart, incidentally, is basically a "snapshot" of our solar system at the exact moment of your birth. Now, setting aside your birth chart, you also have to take into account how those planets have moved and changed sinec the time of your birth. It is a very complicated study and takes years to master. Horoscopes are really no more accurate than reading tea leaves when it comes down to it.
Having grown up exposed to astrology my entire life, I have had the opportunity to see it tested time and again and it has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to me that there is much truth in it, but only if you are really looking at your entire chart and only if you have a good and true astrologer, not a fraud who will tell you anything as long as you pay them. Horoscopes on the other hand....well...let's just say I can see why so many people don't believe in astrology if all they know about astrology is the horoscopes you see in the newspaper. If that were the case with me, I wouldn't believe in it either.

Ask yourself, "Are you a spiritual person?"
If you answered YES, then you should take a horoscope seriously.
If you answered NO, then you shouldn't take a horoscope seriously.
If you believe everything you read, then you should take your horoscope seriously.
If you don't believe everything you read, then you should be understanding that not everything you read in a horoscope is for real or will happen.

You can read horoscopes, but only for pure entertainment. Horoscopes have no scientific basis and there is no evidence that any predicted event read in a horoscope will actually come true. Some people do claim that after their horoscope had predicted that they “will meet a new love on the 22nd of the month” they actually did meet their current boyfriend, but that does not mean that the horoscope (or whoever wrote the horoscope) accurately prophesied their future romance. It simply means that either by coincidence they met a person on that exact date or they would have met the person anyways even without having read the horoscope. It could also mean that after having read the horoscope they specifically went out on the 22nd of the month to ensure that they do meet somebody. Possibly the person may have made herself extra available to others by acting more sociable and outgoing, expecting to make a new acquaintance.

Horoscopes are a load of bunk. Of course they're going to seem "accurate"; that's because they carefully construct the answers to be applicable to a ton of different people and a ton of different situations. It's known as the Forer Effect, and can also be seen in personality quizzes.
It's just a waste of time that, at the worst, can color your perceptions of your days, possibly in a negative way.

I read them once in awhile as fun and entertainment only, but I would never plan my life around it.
That said, I've done some research into the astrology part of it, the actual calculating the planetary alignment and the planets and such, and there is just enough accuracy to it that I'd have to say there is something to be said for when we're born having an impact on our personality or tendencies. Too many books, historians, scholars of ancient times relied on it, and there's too much study of it now and in historical and current religions for there not to be 'something' to it.
I'm just not sure what that 'something' is, but it's not enough to make me want to believe anything I read in a newspaper or a website online!
I did have a friend who did star mapping and charting for birthdays and she was uncannily accurate... not just with me, but with tons of people she did charts for. (shrug)

I read mine in the newspaper every evening but I don't take it seriously. It's interesting to see what it says and if it came true that day. I do agree that when you are born seems to have an impact on our personalities. At least that's been the case from what I've noticed.

Depends on you faith.
I think most of the people take it positively if the horoscope is positive for that day ! Otherwise they just read and leave. But some people are there which are afraid of negative horoscope. After all its just a horoscope. If you are in side of modern science, you should take it lightly. Its you choice.

No... There's absolutely no evidence that they bear any relationship to reality at all.
Even if they did, the fact that 1/12th of the population of America
' can see what's really going on underneath the surface today, and you might be able to get your friends to see the difference between their ideas and reality. Make the case and then walk away.'
http://horoscopes.astrology.com/dailyscorpio.html
is so horrendously vague that its meaningless.
Reading/talking about or even taking any of this stuff seriously only encourages the suppliers of this twaddle and encourages them to carry on.
