I would try to instill in my children the values of self responsibility. In my opinion it is from that virtue that all other virtues either emanate from or draw power reserve from.

Self responsibility inspires confidence, goal setting, self awareness, promotes respect for oneself and the community. It provides a practical foundation to expand upon the basic human emotions of love, passion and generosity.

The way I see it, if my children were to learn but one thing, then I hope self responsibility would be that thing, as from it, so much more comes forth.

That life is not fair but you can't sink into despair when bad things happen to you. I tell them to enjoy and make the most out of life that they can.

I would like my children to learn about the rule of Karma, that anything they send forth , will come back to them. That they should be responsible with their actions because they would reap the effects later on.

More like GIGO in computers, Garbage In, Garbage Out. or The Golden Rule. =Do to others what you want them to do to you.

If this is their guiding principle in life then , I know that they would think first before doing something.

We exist in this mundane existence with others, we cannot be completely independent. We interact with other human beings and we need to be in congruence with things around us to be able to succeed,

One thing that I would like to instill to my children about life is that it is a gift from God and they should enjoy and be responsible for it. In this connection I will do my best to instill in them the thought that they are not here on this earth a mistake. That God has ultimate plans for them and they should have faith and strive to make a difference in this world.

I want them to learn that life is tough and that they should be strong. And I want them to be God-fearing because that's the only key that they will become good citizens.

I taught my children to be kind, and to never make fun of anyone. I grew up being made fun of, and I wanted to make sure they knew that those kids were being hurt by those words, and that they should never be a part of it. My sons are both now very kind, compassionate human beings, which is just what I wanted them to be.

That life is what they make it. Good or bad, it is all in their hands.
