They pass through a transmogrifying portal.
This portal opens inside the wardrobe.
They turn into..... wire coat-hangers!

Check the vent or between the drum and the rest of the dryer. Or sacrifice a goat, say a chant, and they'll reappear properly folded in your dresser drawer. Whatever.
