Is this a trick question? I've never promoted virginity! No, seriously, I have to give the obvious answers to your question. The first thing is to avoid unwanted pregnancies. Next on the list would be to avoid STDs. Then I would say to stress the value of being in a committed intimate relationship before having a sexual relationship. These things are just as important in these "modern times" if not more so then they were back when.
You stress female virginity. Some segments of society promote these values for both male and female. That is as it should be in my eyes. Did I grow up that way? No! I am just saying the double standard is not fair, right, or to be upheld.

Females can reproduce. An innate protection of our future exists within us. An unwanted or unbeneficial pregnancy has the possibility of a negative affect on our families, society and future progeny. I am speaking in terms of a caveman mentality carrying over to today.
