It is because as a society we feel that things such as weddings and having children are right of passages.Like prom is a right of passage because it is a way of saying goodbye to high school and teen years. The reason you feel 'less' is because the majority of society flocks together, and media makes it out to be that we MUST have these things! Also,I did not have a wedding and I have been married for two years.I feel less because on a wedding day,it is a day that makes you feel as though you were worth something to someone;that you have something great to celebrate. When I was single,I was a 'happy' loner, but I would find myself very upset when I would see ''Just Married" outside of a church because I thought-that would never happen to me.DON'T feel less! Embrace your way of life because behind the wedding and the children, the majority,is an unhappy life.Very few(statistics show that divorces are up WAY up,more than half!)are actually happy. What all of this depends on is what makes YOU happy-if a wedding does,do it,if not, then don't do it =)
