Would it be offensive to a Jewish person if a Christian put up a menorah with their Christmas decorations in a sign of respect for them?

If someone would be offended by that then they are just looking for something to be offended about.

For instance, if you have invited Jewish friends over and you are attempting to incorporate their faith into your celebrations I think it's a very nice gesture. I can't see a single problem.

As a mother, I want to raise a child who is accepting, understanding and open minded about other cultures and religions. I intend to share with her religious practices and cultures from all around the world. I'll do this at every opportunity possible, including holidays.

I think if all parents would do this, our world would think much more diversely and would be more capable of moving past stereotypes.

No, it would not be offensive to a Jewish person if a Christian put up a Menorah. It seems to me that it would be a kind, friendly recognition of another person's religeon.
