Would you let your son or daughter go to a "hell house?"
One where a religious organization sets up rooms of horrific occurrences to scare kids and try to make them turn to Christianity?

Absolutely not. I'm not a religious person, so that alone eliminates 90% of the reason anybody would ever take their children to such a place. And they go against any kind of belief that children should be open-minded about religion. I mean, this is fire-and-brimstone, Jonathan Edwards-and-more stuff. I don't need to traumatize my children.
As far as haunted houses, there are so many secular haunted houses that accomplish the same purpose without any of the religious proselytizing (even though that might be scary!) Zombies may be scary, but there aren't any zombie evangelists out there, so in the end they're kind of harmless.

Only if he or she is old enough to deeply understand the word "Propaganda" In that case I may even sugest it as a way to see how people try to manipulate each other.
I would be very interested to ask my brother this question as he is sending his children to catechism.

Nope... not in a million years (or an eternity whichever comes first).
I don't think that faking situations and scaring kids into believing any religion is the way to go. It seems to nearly go into the areas of brainwashing, psychological manipulation and borders on torture/abuse.
Now I'm not saying that religion isn't a serious issue. But I really worry about the sort of faith that would develop based on fear. It doesn't seem healthy to me
