I am currently 29 years old. I had my first computer when I was 16, my first cell phone at 18. At each of these moments in time, I would have easily given up either one of them to save my television.

Now in 2009, it's my computer (with internet access of course) that I prize most and would hurt the most to go without. It has become an integral part of my life. It is my work tool, social tool, entertainment tool and information tool.

What was once the protected favorite, television, has now become the first one I'd sacrifice.

I could function just fine without a television. I could not function at all without a computer, and my cell phone is a necessary medium for communication with the outside world. If I had to give one up tomorrow, I would not even blink to see the TV go.

Definitely a computer, I am a student and I cannot not live without logging onto my school site to check out my homework and quizzes, also I need to check my e-mail on the internet. and without my computer it would make life super messy for me. I can live without a TV. The internet takes care of the shows I would have watched on TV anyways. And without my cellphone I can just e-mail my my friends and tell them to call my homephone or something or tell it when I see them. That's not too big of a deal. But without my computer it would ruin the day for me!

I stopped watching TV a few years ago and haven't missed it at all. I often don't have credit for my mobile phone and I grew up without one, so I don't miss it at all either.

Now I use my computer to get news and entertainment and work and everything so its very hard to give it up, even for a few days. I'd say I'm 'slightly' addicted to the internet and computer.

Function without it, yes. Want to function without it, no :)

Since I have neither a television or a cell phone, I can't give either of them up, so it would have to be my computer, but come on, it's the only one I have of the three! Would you really ask me to give it up, seeing I have so much less than all those folks who have all three? Have a heart man, let me keep it!

How about if somebody who has all three volunteers to give up TWO of the three or me?

Is there anyone who will give up both their television and their cell phone so that I can keep my computer? .....Anyone?

I forgot. Why are we giving these up again? (just joking)

My computer. You're probably going to get somewhat biased answers, being that Conundrum's an online site, but I spend more more hours, minute for minute, on my computer than I do on my cell phone and my television combined. I use it for research, for work, for play, for social contact, for information -- for everything, really. And, really, the computer can supplant the other two now:

-- No cell phone? A bit inconvenient, but I can always just use Skype. Or I could Facebook chat someone, Twitter message, send an e-mail, etc. There's so much more opportunity for real-time communication now.

-- No television? There's always Hulu! (And a host of other, less legal methods of watching TV, but I'm not going to recommend any of those. Hulu all the way.)

Honestly, if I were to lose my computer tomorrow, I'd have a heap of boredom on my back and (since I'm in journalism) a hell of a lot more difficulty in doing my job.

Definitely my computer, we are at an age where technology has taken over simple task as they can be done via the internet, for example I don’t visit libraries, own a telephone directory, I don’t send card or write letters and mail them out anymore. I use my computer every day to do almost everything, whereas I only use my cell phone to make and receive calls and my television to watch the occasional tv program.

I would have a hard time losing my computer. I depend on it so much and know from experience that when I choose I chose to not watch TV and not talk on the cell phone, but I never choose to give up the computer.

Well I could probably give up any of them. Assuming of course that I'd still be able to use my work phone or work computer which I need to do my job.

At home I can (and sometimes do) go without any of the for a while without any major problems.
