Under what circumstances would you ever consider joining the military and volunteering to go to war?
Some individuals are moved by a tragedy so greatly that they enter the military simply to go to war. What situations would inspire/provoke you to do the same?

I would sign up to defend my country, within my border. My country hasn't had a civil war or a foreigner wage war on our soil... except in Darwin but that's another story, they defended well our lads did !
So, yes, I would join up if they were coming onto my land, invading our homes. I would become an urban defender of my home if necessary, if I couldn't join up officially
I understand joining up for training and discipline, I think that's a great thing to do! I understand those who fight on foreign soil too, I wouldn't but I understand.

I joined the Navy right after highschool. I needed guidence and structure. Plus my wife was pregnant and didnt have the GPA to attend college. The war issue and volunteering that all depends what is in you. Fighting for your country is something that comes from your heart.
