I believe that would make it look like the questions were contrived. Sometimes when we have a lot of questions at one time it looks that way.
I know it would totally look like we were asking questions we knew the answer to just to give ourself a chance to answer and maybe steer the perspective of future answerers in a certain direction.
Just looks too shady in my opinion since almost all questions can be subjective.

In a way it would be nice if Mahalo had a "Askers answer" section where we could answer our own question. Just to be clear this wouldn't earn any M$ or bonus, it would be for fun only.
The best way of answering your own question at the moment is via a comment. Sometimes you are provoked to provide your own feedback depending upon what answers you get. Normally I respond if I wildly agree or disagree with a persons answer/opinion. On a few occasions people are intrigued as to what my answer would be and ask me, so I pile in then and give my answer.
You can also hint at your own thoughts by adding additional detail to a question, although you need to be careful not to steer people to your line of thought when answering the question.
Overall I think Mahalo answers works pretty well as it is, but for the asker to be able to answer their own question for fun, might be a nice touch!
Good question.
