I lost mine on the night after my wedding, me and my husband were 25 years old then. My boyfriend and I were very close but we never go beyond kisses and petting. I know it would be hard for a man to control but it takes two to tango, I also took part in controlling our emotions. I am very conservative and I told him honestly that I will only give my virginity to my husband. I think that would be the best gift that I can give to the person that I love whom I decided to commit my whole life to.

And I was not wrong because he respected my decision and he told me that he is not after sex, and that he loves me very much and he is willing to wait until after our wedding. I am very lucky to know that I found someone who is broad-minded. At least I thought he is not after sex only. And I got the surprise of my life when he told me after our first night together that I am the first woman he made love to. So we were both virgins! Well, I was surprised because I didn't expect that but I am happy also, I was thinking we really do deserve each other. And I thank God for that.

The first time or second time? LOL Let me explain...Technically, I lost my virginity at age 17 by my boyfriend at the time. We had been out on a date, one of those magical dates where everything went right and everything seemed perfect. It was horribly painful and soon the buzz of the perfect night turned into an intense desire to just go home. The problem was he was very small. Technically, I was no longer a virgin, but physically I still was because he was too small to do the deed. Later on during my honeymoon, but husband at the time was able to break the membrane and I bled. Those few times I had intercourse with the boyfriend before breaking up with him was always excruciatingly painful and turned me off to sex until I realized what the problem was.

I am trying to think how to answer this question without revealing too many intimacies or betraying any confidences, LOL.

Technically, I lost my virginity at the age of 19. It was with a person I cared for, so although it wasn't the most gratifying experience from a sexual stand point, form a sentimental level it was very dear and sweet and I harbor pleasant memories of it. It was sufficiently romantic to make it sweet and sufficiently tender to make it pleasant.

As far as becoming sexually active (engaging in sexual activity outside of intercourse), that took place two years earlier. Initially, some of those experiences were awkward, but then developed into quite gratifying and satisfying experiences.

I should start a Lost & Found service for all these lost virginities. Think there's any money in that?

Defining "virginity" as a first time sexual experience, I'm lucky to have met the woman I did. When I was 17 until partway through my 18th year she exposed me to every conceivable sexual topic and act. She was only one year older than I was but had been sexually active for many, many years (by her own proud account). Probably the longest "lost virginity" story in existence. It was 2 months before we even got around to the actual act of intercourse.

Speaking of Lost & Found, I did help a girl get her virginity back once (without surgery). But that's a story for another time. :)

I haven't lost mine yet. I'm engaged..will be at least 35 when we get married, and am still planning on waiting until after the wedding.

Reading these answers makes me a little nervous about confessing mine. You were all older than I was. I was 13. But, to be fair, I was forced against my will by my pseudo-boyfriend (he was the boy-next-door) at the time.

Had I to do it over again, I would've probably waited until I was in my early 20s. By then I really felt prepared for sex, and I wanted it as much as my partner did.
