Starting over gets easier as you go. The time spent reflecting on how you ended the relationship is what hurts. All the words that were said in anger not being able to say what was really hurting you. The relationship ended because you were unhappy. Most likely you were already alone . Sometimes their is nothing worse than being in a room with someone and still feel alone. Starting over dosent mean the end of who you are or were but it allows for healing reflection and change

I don't like to start over because I know there's a chance that I could get hurt again. If you open your heart and soul to someone, you end up being vulnerable at times. But what can I say? Everyone's has been burnt once too many, but still they continue to gamble, thinking that this might be the right person. Oh, well. As a passage says, "It's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved." Peace!

I wouldn't really dread either. I am not afraid to be alone, and that is not an issue. Starting over is not something I am afraid of or that I dread...sometimes that can be the exciting part.
However, being hurt again is what would keep me stagnant.
