I love them! There is something about the rush of adrenalin that you get from being thrown around unnaturally. I think that the draw they provide is for us to experience something that we are not able to to without the aid of some of the most thrilling rides out there.
The absolute most frightening ride I have ever been on was the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point in Sandusky OH. This thing puts you at 120 mph in less than 4 seconds! Then throws you straight up 420 feet into the air, the entire ride taking only 17 seconds!
My second favorite is the Millennium Force.....OMG this ride is almost too much! This thing broke 10 world records in 2000 when it opened to the public. It goes 310 feet up, then down at a 80 degree angle at up to 93 MPH!
I love roller coasters!

Oh heavens no. I am not the thrill-ride type of person. I guess I just do not enjoy feeling the loss of control as my entire body is propelled 100+ feet into the air at 65 mph or more. I have been on various rides in the past, including a ride called the “Power Tower” at Cedar Point in Ohio, which either shoots you up into the air (to a spot that overlooks the entire amusement park from above) and the way down is made slowly, or vice versa (up slow and then face a steep, rapid drop). I am not sure where exactly my fear of rollercoaster rides stems from, but do know that I was not always such a scaredy cat. There were times when I would have laughed about the prospect of practically flying through the air or getting a nice aerial view of a location. But today, I know the plain thought of it makes me nervous and the fact that my young child (age 5) is completely attracted by the increased heights and speeds of these rides simply gives me the shivers. For his birthday last year in April my husband and I took our youngest one to an indoor amusement park at a mall and he just loved it. I on the other hand had to convince my husband to go on every crazy ride with him for which he needed to be accompanied by a parent, since I could not stomach the thought of having to hold on the dear life myself and try to grab a hold of my son as well while I was struggling to make it through the ride (have done this once before with my older son during a fair and could not believe how much my then 6 year old trusted me holding him and “whee-ed” his way through the ride, while I screamed until my lungs hurt). I typically don’t even buy any entry tickets to amusement parks anymore, (yes, I know, I’m a spoils sport) but I do visit the gift stores in the area.

No I don`t. When I was younger perhaps but not anymore since I know the consequences if something were to happen - mechanically or physically. That takes the enjoyment out of thrill rides that the amusement parks offer.
I`m also afraid of heights and the majority of the thrill rides involve height in one form or another. I prefer to keep my feet on the ground.
I get my enjoyment and fun from so many other things these days.

No, No, No! Maybe it's my age, but no thrill rides for me. Even when I was younger, I wasn't a lover of thrill rides. Maybe the itty bitty roller coaster would be okay, but if it went upside down, no way! I was forced to go on one of those back in my 20s and I hated the way it felt like my brain was going one way and my body was going the other. I don't like height much anymore either and of course most of those thrill rides go far in the sky. I think I'll just stay on the ground thank you. :-)

As long as I trust the operator of the ride, yes, I enjoy them. mind you, part of the enjoyment of a thrill ride is that feeling of fear, that last minute hesitation to hop on, the butterflies in your stomach as you get underway.
So, as long as the safety record is good, I am still up for thrill rides. The only ones that I avoid are those from roaming carnivals.
