I think his apology was sincere. I think that many people are truly contrite and sincere after they lose control and take inappropriate action at inappropriate times. I think that this is an on-going pattern in his life - losing control, acting on his impulses, and then regretting his actions I also think that being sincere and contrite will not keep him from acting out inappropriately again until or unless he seeks out counseling to understand his own anger and control issues. He was welcome to his opinion, but his timing in expressing it was very poorly chosen.

I think that Beyonce showed extreme grace, class, and tact by asking Taylor Swift onto the stage during her win and allowing Taylor to give her acceptance speech, finally.

I don't think it was genuine at all. But then, that's hardly an opinion restricted to Kanye West. Very few -- in fact, let me rephrase that, almost NO -- celebrity apologies are sincere. They're PR moves, intended to try to make them look better after they screwed up. Of course, a lot of apologies have this reason, but it's exacerbated with celebrities because they're almost always directed to the public more than the person they're apologizing to.

It's to the point where I can't even read a celebrity apology without rolling my eyes. Kanye West is no exception.

I believe he did it only because so many people were outrated about it.

A typical rapper just wanting exposure to jump start his stalled career. Out side of the US he is a nobody. Anyhow, I bet the attention he is getting is paying dividends.

I think the whole thing has just been a media blitz. They have turned the incident into more then it was. I see it as Kayne West being Kayne West. His initial statement was how he felt and he didn't hold back. His apology seemed sincere to me. I see it as just another case of his acting before thinking. Do I agree, no, but then it isn't about me.

There are two important things to know about Kanye West. The first is that he does things without thinking sometimes. The second is that he can't be made to do anything he doesn't want to do. That being said, I actually do think it was sincere. Surprising, I know, but if he didn't want to do it and a publicist told him to, I think mouthing off the publicist would have been more his style.
