My wife loaths horror movies, I love them. Are there any shows or movies that are light horror we may both enjoy?

A few possibly helpful notes. She has enjoyed a few Anime shows with heavy eliments of Horror Ex. Devil May Cry, Witch Hunter Robin, and Hellsing.

She hates gore and depressing endings, so non-gory movies that end on an upbeat note may be helpful.

She has liked the occational horror comedy. She enjoyed Army of Darkness and is interested in Black Sheep. Not as interested in Shawn of the Dead due to reports of gore.

I would personally recommend "Tales of Terror From Tokyo" (there are two volumes, both good). They're five minute shorts strung into a movie, and they range from darkly humorous to unsettling - nothing jump-out-at-you scary, and no gore. The best thing about it is, if you don't like it - it ends in a few minutes. If you all are already interested in Japanese films/shows, then this may be a good pick for you. I'm at work, so unfortunately I can't find a link for where to buy them, or a trailer on YouTube for you to watch, but a good Google search should reveal all. :)

That's the only film that comes to mind at the moment. I love horror like you do, but all the movies I enjoy are on the same lines as "The Grudge" or "Dark Water," which I'm thinking your wife wouldn't really enjoy at all.

Mystery Science Theater! The movies are just awful, so you can never take the 'horror' part of the flicks very seriously - and it might help to make your wife look at horror movies in a less 'realistic' light. Go from there and slowly transition to more serious stuff. In the end, however, I don't think you can convince her to like *true* horror movies. My wife and I both stay far away from the genre, and I think it's just part of a person's personality traits that make them like em' or hate em'.

hahaha how could you go past the odd quirky taste of early Tim Burton's 1988 stunner! Funny, sometimes weird and strange. No gore but laughs for sure ( wow that's corny :P )

I'd love a copy of the Handbook for the Recently Deceased
