I was a massive exercise nut at one point - did circuit training, martial arts, swimming etc.....
Well, to stay motivated I did swap and change around my routine every now and then. I would do a different activity like go for a bike ride instead of a swim, that always helped me stay focused.
I trained with a partner for a while, but they didn't have the staying power so I was more motivating them than the other way round ( still worked though hehehe )
I trained at different times of the day and at different places - at home, the uni gym, at the pool etc
I used to see how the exercise was changing the way I looked - body builders do have one trick they can teach anyone - that's how to stand in front of a mirror and really examine the proportions of your body, how much has changed, where can I improve...it does help to stay motivated too :)
so those are my little tips to stay motivated :)

I exercise at least once a day.. trying to lose the baby fat. :D
I like to track my progress. I check my weight daily, use a soft measuring tape to measure proportions, as the numbers shrink I find myself motivated to keep going. keeping trying. I set small goals each week and do my best to meet them.

Motivation: Staying alive. After suffering a blood clot in my lungs that came from my left calf, I was told by my doctors that I had to regularly exercise or I would be back in the hospital. And, the next time may be more severe. So, yes, I track my progress and go to the fitness center at least 3 times a week for a one hour vigorous workout. By the way, colesterol and age are not the factors, being a couch potatoe and staying endlessly on the computer at work are.

I have exercised on and off my whole life. I go through periods where I'm more diligent than others. Right now I'm trying to get in shape for summer so I've been working out at least once a day, some days twice a day. My motivation is summer is coming and with it bathing suits, shorts and smaller tops. LOL

Yes, I do exercise regularly. The following tips always keep me motivated to exercise:
• Imagine myself getting slimmer and stronger within a few weeks.
• Keeping track of my progress.
• Having a workout partner
• Finding and consistently using a good personal trainer.
• Read motivational fitness stories
Besides the above tips, I have found here additional ones at the site below.
