I am surprised at some of the movies that have depressing subjects that come out around the holidays.
I feel that the holiday movies ought to be fun and entertaining and concentrate on happy themes.
Also, some of the family movies can indeed be depressing if you have recently lost a family member.
Additionally and unfortunately, the holidays do bring depression as we think of all the family members and friends that we have lost and won't be here to celebrate with us.
Sometimes scenes in movies remind us of those departed loved ones, and that makes us sad.
