I think playing the villain would be more fun. It would give you a healthy outlet for some of your darker emotions, and I think it would be more challenging, from an artistic side. To be a good villain, you must do bad things but not be completely one-dimensional. You should entertain, and almost pull the audience to your side just enough that they have to battle their own demons a little to remember to side with the hero. I think Heath Ledger in Batman did an excellent job with that. Sometimes, you enjoyed the villains victories a little, and had to decide which side to take.

• Great point about having to battle one's own demons a bit. Thanks for answering!

The hero would likely be easier, with the reward being that people are more likely to like you. If you play a villain I think the general public is likely to tie your character's traits to your real life personality and make assumptions. That being said, playing the villain in several movies and doing it well would probably increase your chances of winning awards for your work. At the end of the day, I think playing the villain has the potential to be more rewarding, you just have to play the role extremely well.

I would want to be like the Punisher. I like to think he walks the line of good and evil. He has good intentions but unlike some other super heroes he really takes the law into his own hands. I'm only thinking of him cause i recently saw Punisher war Zone. Oh or the Comedian from Watchmen LOVED him! I would just want to be the scary bad ass with good intentions.

It may be more interesting to be a villain, but I would rather be the hero. Not for parades or presents, but I would want to make a difference in someone else's life. It's more important that I sleep soundly at night and know that I have done the right thing. I just don't have it in me to take advantage of anyone, or hurt anyone.

Seeing as it is only acting the villian would be more fun.

As usual, I agree with Quesera. Playing the villain is much more fun! Villains get to me more dramatic. They usually wear more interesting costumes. They get to laugh maniacally and show off their evil grins. They are more individualistic than heroes. You've seen one hero, you've seen them all -- not so with villains. Each story has to have a semi unique plot, and this usually comes through with a semi unique villain.

I love both! Being a hero means more people will like you and sympathize with you. People who get awards usually play the hero. Also, the hero gets more attention from the public and media.

But being a villain sometimes can be very challenging. Villains can be very interesting characters. Take a look at Joker. As a villain, he's much more memorable than the Batman. Not everyone can be a good villain, so if I can act as a great villain, I'd be very proud to myself. Besides, being a villain give me a chance to let out my inner darkness... *cue evil laughter*.
