Answered Conundrum Next Conundrum

My sisters and I are gathering for a Patrick Swayze movie night.

There will be no husbands, boyfriends, or kids, just us girls, snacks, a few bottles of wine and movies.

We’ll be eating popcorn but I was wondering what wine would go best here. It’s not a fancy night, just relaxing.

Oh, man, I thought you were looking for film suggestions, and was about to discuss my love for "Roadhouse" and "Next of Kin."

But no matter...

SlashFood recommends a sparkling wine with popcorn, or failing that, a White Zinfandel.

Well i'm going to go for a nice Bordeaux!

The reason?

Well here in the UK all the major supermarkets are currently having a promotion to drink Bordeaux wines whilst watching films, it's a partnership between the Bordeaux Wine Council and lovefilm.com.

Over 600,000 wine bottles (up to March 31, 2010 will feature promotions for ilove film and Bordeaux wines.

So which Bordeaux wine?

If money was no object - Chateau Talbot 2006 4eme Cru Classe St Julien 2006:

If I wanted a nice Bordeaux that would please the Bank Manager, I would choose - Chateau Malbat 2003 Bordeaux
