I would say like $75. Maybe less. Just watch the sale ads really close and clip coupons. Right now at my local Walmart Supercenter they have Stovetop stuffing for 78cents per box and Heinz jars of gravy for 77 or 78 cents each. In recent Sunday newspapers there have been save 75 cents off one Mrs Smith's pie, so if you buy several newspapers and clip each of those coupons, then go to a store that currently sells those pies for $2 give or take or take a store's ad to Walmart whom will match it you can get as many pies as you think necessary for 8 people for $10 or less. Also turkey have been and will be very cheap, like 78 cents per pound or less, so you can get a turkey big enough to feed your guests for less than $20. Anyway I hope my ideas helped you and have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

I would say you dont acctually have to spend an emense amount of money i would say roughly 100 dollars. That means that each person gets a little more then 12 dollars each worth of drink and food which seems like a decent amount. Dont go crazy and pay 200 plus for thanksgiving but you dont want to have a 25 dollar meal. try and have a good amount of food that is enough for everyone but doesnt go to exstravigant.

Thanksgiving dinner including turkey, stuffing, cranberries, pumpkin pie and all the basic trimmings dropped 4 percent in price this year, according to the American Farm Bureau Federations 24th annual informal price survey. So, we all might be saving just a little bit on Thanksgiving dinner in 2009!
For 8 people you can still maintain a decent budget if you shop carefully. Eight people can easily eat a full dinner for a little less than $40. This does not include liquor or other beverages.
A turkey for 8, bread stuffing, sweet potatoes, peas, cranberries, a relish tray of carrots and celery, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, coffee, milk and rolls with butter are the basic foods for Thanksgiving. It's very possible to pay far less than $40, with the average price in 2009 at $4.29 per person. There are great sales on all of these items, including a turkey. (Walmart has offered some for $5 on special sale days)
If you go for fancier recipes, then obviously your expenses will go up. Consider just serving wine, coffee, soft drinks and water instead of all sorts of liquor. Or if you are looking to reduce costs, see if you can get a little help---guests love bringing a bottle of wine or dessert!
Enjoy Thanksgiving!
