What is the perfect meal to serve an anti-Thanksgiving crowd?
I think we all know a person or two who are anti-Thanksgiving on principle: The pilgrims stole the land, injustices to Native Americans, hate turkey, etc.
So if you are hosting an anti-Thanksgiving crowd, what's the perfect meal to serve? Specifically what dishes do you prepare? The opposite of Thanksgiving dinner?

Hm. Difficult but not too difficult to imagine. Difficult because Thanksgiving deliberately uses Indian foods. Not too difficult because those choices are so stereotyped.
Rather than attempting to imitate actual Native American dishes, which varied extremely from one area to another, I would recommend a dinner of less used American native foods, especially those more common in pre-Columbian times and available in New England. So:
hors d'œuvre : smoked sturgeon, raw oysters
fish : shad roe, baked salmon
entree : roast venison with potatoes and squash
dessert : honey soaked cornbread, persimmon slices
drink: Concord grape wine, micro-brewed Mead.

LOL I'm from a southern redneck family so my answer is BBQ ribs and potato salad. Seriously, that is our answer for everything food related. Some baked beans would also be a nice addition to the meal. Oh, and you have to have buckets of beer as opposed to the traditional wine.

Hey, if they're serious about it, they'll have no problem fasting while you guys eat your Thanksgiving dinner. Tell them they can stop being self-righteous pricks or find something else to do while you eat. If they have a problem with our illegal immigration they can go back to Europe. It's not like people don't know that the pilgrims were a-----es.
