Because it's delicious maybe? I know I prefer different stuff depending on what I'm eating or how I feel. All of the winemakers I know drink a lot of wine too.

after tasting, smelling, analyzing and breathing wine day in and day out ... there is absolutely nothing better than a cold and refreshing beer.

I think you're right! I went to Paso Robles the other day and one of the wine makers said that "wine makers drink beer" - it was funny to hear from someone who makes wine, but I guess it makes sense when you put it that way :)

You are right! I know it isn't exactly the same but I once worked at a candy store and believe me I didn't eat candy the entire time I worked there. When you are surrounded by it and dabble in it at first it starts to make you sick so you just pace yourself or end up refraining completely. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. You don't want to overindulge and then end up hating it.
