Conundrum Next Conundrum
Are there some relatives you would just as soon not see on thanksgiving?
Is thanksgiving a time of hypocrisy to some extent, being hyped as the great family get together when there are deep divisions and resentments, or are most folks just doing the best they can in complicated situations?

Not really. Of course, there are some relatives I am closer with than others, and some relatives that can grate on my nerves after awhile. However, I have a great family, and I am so looking forward to seeing them all on Thanksgiving!

Yes! There is definitely one woman I would rather not see. What do I do? I pretend to like her for a few short hours since I don't often have to share her company. She is miserable and irritable and looks for ammunition to start feuds. I won't play her game and you bet I am a hypercrite. Do I care? Not at all because why ruin the meal for everyone? A few short hours won't kill me and everyone else is nice and pleasant and it helps make up for her horrid behavior.
