Yeah, I have also many experience like it. But this matter was really cool....because to ask this question I had to fought more than 7 months.

I made friendship(From facebook) with a girl who read in same class of me but different school. I used to chat everyday since mid night. We shared our many really secret thing but yet we don't see each other even in photo because we don't add our real photo.

My question to her was "Can we meet each other?" Because we became really good friend in virtual life. But

But I could't ask this question because I thought that "If she mind or disagree" and I will loss a good friend. But at last I could ask her....

Suddenly one day she said that "Today is very boring day, I can't find any happiness in anything"(Instant chat of Facebook) then I said "Why you don't go star cineplex(theatre which is very near of her house) now there is running quantum of soles" she answered "But movie also boring without companion" I said "Hey..." she: "what?" I : "Nothing", she :"bye" I : "bye" afer that I said "hey...wait" she:"anything else?"

I said "Hey can we meet each other and also enjoy the movie?" She said "Yeah...oh ..huhu....of course!...come on ma friend when you coming?" LOL

After that now she is one of the best friends.We often go theatre,concert or any event. But she said it many days later that"hey @safi why you said it many later to meet with me? Am I not your friend? I am a girl so I could not offer you first to meet but why you too late? "

Actually I forget what I answered. Here is end of my answer of your question. Interesting question.
Thanks
@safi

Yes, I've had this experience, many times :)

I am with my partner now because I asked him if he would like to go out with me, and to my surprise he said yes and we've been very happy for years now.....

I was very scared because I didn't know if he liked me or was just being polite. I didn't have the courage to ask face to face :( I had to send a message and wait for the reply. I sat outside away from my computer for AGES, too scared to go in and see the answer. But it was worth every scared moment! We still smile at how shy we were with each other.....

I think its good for everyone to at least try something and not be too scared to ask or answer.
And no, it doesn't get any easier the older you get :)

Ignoring the heart will only muffle the brain and weigh the soul. I would say in the end the answer will hurt less than ignoring your own feelings. The truth may hurt but it will always set you free.

I don't however have a story to attach to this, I'm both cursed and blessed with the blunt nature of a Sagittarius otherwise known as uncontrollable mouth syndrome.

well, I'm a person who speaks with his heart, but when it comes to love, I'm pretty shy and that's putting it lightly, I can never tell her I like her and such... which is a shame, but that's how I am, so yeah I most of the time speak with my heart
