I am pretty lucky that I normally don't get writer's block since my main writing is non-fiction articles for online websites that deal with information: travel pieces, product reviews, information for sales brochures, news releases, and articles on every subject in the world!
However, since I face deadlines almost every day, and many of those I am only given one day to write the article (that adds to the stress!), there are times I feel that my mind is spinning and just cannot "perform" any longer!
I take a break and change to doing the research for coming articles so that my brain can go in a new direction.
Or I go into the writers forums and chat with other writers, which is very motivating.
Or I get on the phone and make some personal phone calls.
Or I just leave the house and go visit a friend or go to lunch or to bingo.
Then I find out that I'm almost anxious to get back to my computer and can again "write up a storm"!

I was a writer before on my college paper and this happens to me a lot! I'm not a great writer that's why I always encounter this. Here are some things I used to do to deal with this.
1. Stop and relax for a while.
2. Play good music to inspire me.
3. Do other things for a while... surf the net, play games, or read other's blogs or articles.
4. Talk to some friends... maybe ask them on what's new, or just talk about anything. I could get inspiration from them.
5. Lie down on the bed... think about the past things that had happened.
Usually, I could write again after an hour or so... but sometimes, I just give up for a while then try to write again next day to just give myself a break.

I write for a lot of web 2.0 websites. Everywhere you look, you find A) Write ideas down (What if there ARE no ideas?) B) Take a walk, exercise (Doesn't seem to help me.)
When I want a new idea to write on, here are some things I do that usually gets my creativity wheels to turning:
1) Look through junk email (you'd be surprised @ the ideas you can get titles you can come up with from junk.)
2.) Go to article submission sites. I've found many articles that sparked another idea or twist to things.
3.) Look through a catalog. Yes, a catalog.
4.) Amazon magazines. Of course don't copy, but they have some interesting titles to spark ideas. Remember, the big magazine companies aren't going to publish something people don't want to read!
5.) Google trends and Yahoo buzz. Look @ what people are searching for.

I go and write on a totally different subject on my blog. that helps me move away from the subject that has stopped me.
I find in a little bit while concentrating on another subject an idea starts to grow and I can get back to the task at hand.
