Conundrum Next Conundrum
How long does it take you to get ready for work or to go out?
I've noticed how quickly I can get out the door for work since I stopped wearing makeup, even though I never wore much in the first place. I think this applies to men and women, how long does it take you to get yourself together?

About half an hour
- I buy and wear clothes that don't require ironing
( mostly..... I do have some clothes that I iron but very few, its a waste of electricity and it makes the house hot! )
- I have naturally curly hair so it doesn't need anything except a wash and fluff-up
( no hair drying for me! or straightening! )
- I wear little or no make-up mainly because my skin is very fair and sensitive
- I have quick showers because we are trying to save water and we have water restrictions
So if you add all that up I really don't need long to get ready :)
And I hate being late!

It depends. If it's a formal affair, from shower to dressed, about two hours. If it's to the store down the street, about 5 minutes, tops, because it will likely take that long to find my shoes (I never wear shoes).
If it's for dinner out, casual with friends and/or family, maybe 20 minutes, on a good day.
With my health, sometimes it takes me a little longer, and I sometimes have to have some help, which delays things, but I can usually be out the door in about 1/2 hour at the most.

Everyday stuff including work (before I voted to be a stay at home mom) around 5 minutes. Brush teeth, get dressed, go.
Special occasions around 10 minutes because I'll put on a bit of make-up and do my hair as well.
I'm not big on make-up and I don't do much with my hair as it naturally has ringlets so I have it easy.

I am a pretty low maintenance girl. On weekdays, it takes me about 20 minutes to go from getting out of bed to heading out the door. My makeup is very light and the only thing I do with my hair is scrunch it a bit. For more formal occasions, or on the rare time when I decide to straighten my hair, it can take me about 40 minutes or so. This is due to the extra time spent on makeup, as well as the necessary mirror time to make sure I look okay.

If I don't have to wash my hair, then I can go from sleeping in bed to out the door in 45 minutes. (12 minutes if I'm in a blind panicked rush).
I grab an on-the-go breakfast
Check Mahalo.com
Hose myself off
Brush hair
Brush teeth & mouthwash
Get dressed
Skin care (lotions)
Minimal makeup
Make the bed
Pick up laundry
Grab shoes, wallet, keys, celly
...and I'm out!
I COULD trim the routine down if I needed to, but I find that taking more time before going out makes me less stressed and makes me feel more in control. So I'll just enjoy my mouthwash and Mahalo a little longer. :)
