Well, I think its OK to hold on to some, I have and I'm not even a sentimental type, I'm actually doing it for them. I put away a few clothes and toys that were favorites and a few baby things they didn't know about ( hand made items from Grandmother ). That's for the day they inherit it all or for when they are Mums on their own, depending on which comes first.

If you hold on to 'everything' knowing full well its never going to be used again I think that's hoarding but a few things is OK, a few special things....

If you are keeping it to give away you wouldn't be 'hoarding' it I guess :) so I don't think that counts....

This is what I did, I kept my very favorites and I sold the rest of them. I think as soon (or shortly after) they no longer can wear or play with the toys it is time for them to go. One thing for sure is that you will always be buying new and larger things as your child grows, so there really is no movitive in keeping the outgrown or no longer played with toys anyways.
