That's funny Bestpay... I've been everywhere on your list except Holland and Haiti.
There are plenty of places I could pick right now.
Just thinking back to happy locations I have visited, enjoyed and cherished. Many times I wish that I could teleport myself to a place I have visited or even somewhere new.
Sometime I fantasize about going back to Brighton Beach for the day (UK), or walking through the old city of Jerusalem. Hiking along the Kona coast in the Pacific, or taking my car on the ferry to Victoria Island.
There have been many trips that I hold close in my heart. Many adventures.
But if I could close my eyes this minute and be home with my Mom and family in San Francisco, I would have that at the top of my list.
I'm home sick right now. I know I'll be heading home soon, but I'm just answering your question with honesty, memory and emotion.

I have long wanted to move to Jamaica. I love the people, the customs, and of course, the tropical atmosphere. What has stopped me has been the number of hurricanes that hit the island. I live in Florida now, and hurricanes are a fact of life, but being on the west coast of FL, we don't get as many. I just don't know if I could live in a place where my life and property were threatened so badly every summer.
I believe that when you decide where you want to be, you must take everything into consideration. It's easy to say that I want to live in Jamaica, but the reality is that I'm a single caucasian woman, and it may not be safe for me living there by myself. Also, non-citizens are not allowed to work there, so I would be completely dependent on my online writing income. While it's cheaper to live there, it may not be cheap enough.
I would plan a long vacation there first, to get the lay of the land, and find out as much as I can about the country firsthand before I made a permanent move.

As a resident of Southern California, I can honestly say “almost anywhere else”. I hate it here. And yes, I am one of those people who uses “Hate” very sparingly. Hate is the correct word in this instance.
Next year I am moving to Oregon, and I literally cannot wait. That place is the polar opposite of this cesspool. Each day that goes by now is just a torturous waiting game.

I would say Hawaii because it's cold and rainy here and I suffer from psoriatic arthritis so weather like this causes me a lot of pain. I feel so sorry for anyone who has arthritis because I know most of them suffer in weather like this.

I would be on this tiny little resort island in Michigan called Mackinac Island. It's where my husband and I honeymooned and it's a magical place for me. There are no vehicles permitted on the island, only horse-drawn carriages, bikes, and walking. The last ferry leaves for the mainland at about 9:00pm and then the whole Island is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. I would be taking a stroll down the beautiful dim streets listening to the waves of the lake lap against the shore, just before going into the historically old hotel and taking a late night swim in the indoor swimming pool.
And of course, all of this would be arm in arm with my husband.
Heaven.
