Answered Conundrum Next Conundrum
If you think someone has a prejudice when selecting best answers how do you cope with it?
If you think an asker doesn't choose your answer as best and you think it's because they have some sort of prejudice, do you confront them or ignore them? seek revenge? Or leave it as "Maybe they saw something in another answer"?

Its the questioners prerogative to pick the answer that they thinks the best one... so its up to them. If I felt that I wasn't getting a look in, despite my best attempts then I'd think twice about offering them an answer, and spend my time elsewhere.
Sometimes its important to answer a question honestly. Even if you think that its not the answer that the person wants to hear.
However if they constantly picked one particular answerer ignoring all the others then I'd have a quiet word word with a member of staff.

• Yeah, we should just try to give our best response and see what happens.

Personally I just deal with it, one can never really know the motivations of another. Unless someone confronts me and says "Cheapgamer I hate you, because you are 1) cheap 2) a gamer 3) a fan of pin up art, perv! 4) an Anime fan 5) whatever else I am that would offend some one", I like to give them the benefit of the doubt.
In choosing best answer a person may be taking a long time to really evaluate a question, other times it may be a knee jerk decision based on one or two lines in an answer.
I would, and have, let it slide, Mahalo/Conundrum is too fun to let an odd answer pick get you down.

I don't think there is anything that your can do. It is totally up the asker which answer they choose as the best answer. The person asking the question may have found that another answer was more helpful to them or answered the question better or for some other reason that only they know. Only the asker knows what he / she is looking for in an answer.
I have had some of my answers chosen as best answers where I thought other answers were better. I have also had some of my answers passed over for best answer where I thought my answer was best. I would not assume that the asker has a bias. It is simply not worth getting worked up over. Just move on and forget about it. Don't let one question spoil your enjoyment of the site.

Life is too short to sweat the small stuff! I do not even think about why people choose the answers that they choose. I enjoy helping people, so I answer, but I rarely even go back to see which answers were chosen. I do love it when my answer is chosen as the best one, though, of course! I guess out of your options, mine is to leave it as "Maybe they saw something in another answer".

I wouldn't worry about it. If you want to avoid feeling slighted in the future, the easiest thing to do is only answer questions posed by others. Problem solved. However, keep in mind that there is a good chance they just view answers differently than you. If you keep leaving answers that blow the other ones away time after time, they'll have to select you sooner or later.

@psynopsis thanks for a smart question.
I would not worry because asker has enough right to choose any answer as best. If I make a debate or question about it may it will cause another bad happen. So I will avoid it to ask him about it.
Please let me say about some different matter from your question. I can realize that in mahalo.com has some member circle who helps each other and they don't look at others. I will not say their names, sorry because I don't want to make any complex matter from it. I will just give you hints.
Please look at ATOD, I think there has a strong circle, some mahalions are nominated everyday, please make a observation some mahalions get vote from same person everyday, I often see it. They just look at nominator or author and make vote. Please look at ATOD some days, you also can realize it.
I said about ATOD to give a example of helping circle of mahalo, so if my answer fall into that nothing to say now.
But don't think same at all, many times your words is right "Maybe they saw something in another answer".Actually I don't care about it,mahalo gives me opportunity to gain a good hand in English, acquire knowledge and also some money so I like to browse mahalo.
Thanks
