Are you comfortable with naked scans of you being taken in an airport, the operative won't see your face, the images are stored. Or would you like to protect your modesty?

I'm not really comfortable with this. To tell you the truth, whether or not I'm anonymous is irrelevant; I don't like that the guy viewing the photos is anonymous! He should be sitting right there in front of me. I've seen a version of this technology that makes more of an effort to distort the photo and maintain your privacy, but the images above don't do that at all.

Personally, anyone who would want to look at my old fat body has bigger problems than my concern over being seen naked. I actually feel kinda sorry for the guy (or gal).
Since I'm not very shy it wouldn't really bother me, but I can see where some shy or modest people might have a problem with it. On the other hand, just one story of a criminal caught sneaking a gun on board will out-weigh a whole bunch of modesty.
In some cases, individuals might actually prefer these scans over pat downs or strip searches.
I've heard that obese people or large breasted women can still hide weapons or other contraband in the folds of their skin, so it wouldn't pay to become overly dependent or confident on these as the final solution.
It could be worse, it could show detailed images instead of the blurry ones, and from what I've heard the images are not capable to be downloaded or saved, so it's doubtful they will show up on the internet, and nobody is saying there are dangerous levels of radiation, which is a relief.
These machines or something like them are probably here to stay, so I suppose we may as well get used to them.

Security is more important that having to scamper for a hiding place because someone with a gun is running amok in the airport. This is to create some sort of a safe environment. We were born naked. some people maybe offended but this measure is a call by the airport authorities. I am sure they have other means to search a person going to airports if the person concern would really object to this style of search.
